Tim Guiterman Joins Edo as Director of Utility Programs
Edo is thrilled to welcome Tim Guiterman as Director of Utility Programs, marking a significant milestone in the company's expansion efforts in the utility sector. With two decades of experience in energy engineering, program evaluation, entrepreneurship, and policy advocacy, Tim's appointment signals Edo's commitment to driving innovation and advancing grid decarbonization initiatives.

In this role, Tim will spearhead developing and implementing Edo's expanding business with utility clients, overseeing initiatives such as the Spokane Connected Communities Project, a first-of-its-kind demand flexibility program with Avista Utilities funded by the Department of Energy, and the Connecticut Public Utility Regulatory Authority’s Innovative Energy Solutions building optimization initiative with one of Connecticut’s largest electric distribution companies.

The Energy Partner Senior Program Manager will manage PGE's commercial and industrial (C&I) demand response (DR) program, Energy Partner. This large, dynamic program play a key role in PGE's flexible load plan in support of Oregon’s clean energy future.

The Senior Program Manager role will ensure the on-going success of the Energy Partner program by continuing to develop and execute the program implementation strategy and by managing program and vendor performance. Successful applicants will bring deep DSM C&I customer program management experience as well as a passion for being a part of the team shaping the future of PGE.

Department Summary

The Customer Programs Implementation Team is responsible for implementing PGE’s flexible load customer programs, including demand response. This team also manages the evolution of PGE’s flexible load pilots and programs to ensure that PGE meets the goals of the Clean Energy Plan & Integrated Resource Plan (CEP/IRP) as well as its growing need to create flexible capacity to support decarbonization goals. The Customer Programs Implementation Team works cross-functionally to develop PGE’s Program Roadmaps in service to our customers, business, and regulatory requirements.

NYSERDA Vehicle Grid Integration Program Opportunity Notice

We are thrilled to share that Round 2 of NYSERDA Program Opportunity Notice 5354 is now open. This program will help support the development and demonstration of solutions that address technical, economic, and other barriers to increasing electric vehicle (EV) adoption, grid flexibility and vehicle grid integration.

Concept papers are required for each round of funding. Concept papers to be evaluated for the second round of funding are due June 18, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. ET.

A total of $6.4 million in funding is available in Round 2 for product development and demonstration projects that provide innovative solutions to addressing these identified focus areas:

  1. Novel electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) Installation and Interconnection Cost Reductions
  2. Utilizing EVs to Improve Grid Flexibility
  3. Medium- and Heavy-Duty and Off-Road Vehicle Electrification

They will also be primarily responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of research and analysis aligned with clients’ needs. This role aligns to the Managing Consultant level and will play a lead role in growing Guidehouse Insights’ utility and DER industry profile as well as acting as a primary research point of contact for US utility key account teams.

The successful candidate will bring utility and technology specific expertise and a general understanding of the impacts of emerging technologies, services, and competitive threats as well as relevant policy and regulatory issues facing the industry. City of Seattle Job Opportunity: Training Strategy and Delivery Specialist

Position Description
Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. Over the years we have worked very hard to keep Seattle's electricity affordable, reliable, and environmentally sound. Today, City Light is a recognized national leader in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. 

City Light’s 2023-2028 Strategic Plan identified the implementation of “Time-of-Use” (TOU) rates as a key new program initiative to expand customer service options. Seattle City Council approved City Light’s plan to roll out customer options in multiple phases over the next few years. The new TOU Program will offer residential and small/medium general service customers new rate choices that will enable businesses and residents to save money by shifting when they use power. The TOU Program includes delivering two major information technology (IT) projects or “components” to help customers understand, manage, and reduce their energy use at specific times of the day:  

  1. Advanced View Usage in the Portal, allowing for customer interval data access. (completed November 2023)
  2. Customer Insights Solution: Energy Use & Rate Options Platform (e.g. calculator & self-serve rate comparison information) 

City Light is recruiting for a 35-month term limited assignment (TLT) for a Training Strategy and Delivery Specialist resource. This position is benefits eligible and currently has a hybrid work schedule.

This individual will collaborate with the SCL business owners, project functional analysts, IT partners, project leadership and team members to support our front-line staff who utilize our customer technology systems.
   
The Training Strategy and Delivery Specialist will be responsible for developing a staff training program for TOU. The specialist will design and conduct a needs analysis before building the TOU training program and will ensure it aligns with business objectives and meets the needs of various audiences across SCL. The specialist will also build course materials and teaching aids and advise on best practices for teaching diverse adult learners. This position will report to the Customer Technology Solutions, Sr Mgr.
